Pastoral Care

spiritual and emotional growth

For Primary Students

The ethos of Noosa Christian College is to inspire and lead students into a relationship with God. We believe that each student is precious because they are God’s individual creation with a unique purpose for their lives. As such, our College is committed to providing a variety of opportunities and support structures that facilitate spiritual and emotional growth during the important early years of development.

There are opportunities during both class time and across combined activities on campus for prayer, mentoring, demonstration of values and shared worship/praise. Our class teachers are actively interested in the nurture of your child, and our College Chaplains are able to support individuals through additional services outside of class time.

Pastor Esther Meale and Mr Andrew Lombart are our College Chaplains. They work in the Primary and Secondary areas with teaching staff and are involved in organising and providing a range of services and activities including Bible Studies, Counselling Support, Chapel Programs and our ‘Buddy System’.

Bible Studies

Students are able to request Bible Studies with a member of our Chaplaincy team to learn more about God and what it means to be a Christian. Bible study times are arranged out side of school hours, and can be held on campus.

Counselling Support

Our College Chaplains extend their support to students and/or family members who may be experiencing a difficult time or need a word of encouragement. Counselling sessions are available by appointment by contacting our Chaplains via the school office.

Chapel Programs

Each week a Chapel service includes music, singing, a guest speaker and fun activities which bring the Bible to life. Students are encouraged to understand and model values (such as self-control, kindness, forgiveness) which can make a positive difference in the community.

Student Wellbeing

The overall wellbeing of our students is cared for through shared initiatives such as our ‘Buddy Program’, celebration of birthdays, end-of-term rewards for good behaviour and initiatives to foster values such as kindness, honesty, empathy etc.
