If you did not make it to the Primary Christmas Concert - then you missed out on some special singing and musical performances. Although the weather was rather wild and windy from 5-6pm, by 6:30 things had settled down and our concert was able to proceed. Our wonderful staff and crew worked very hard to rearrange the staging and sound set-up so that our families could all be seated undercover.
Firstly, many of our students who have had Voice lessons this year with Susie Lehman performed solo items as the final adjustments were made to the set-up.
As the evening progressed we were treated to various styles of Christmas-themed songs presented by each year level including ‘Christmas in the Summertime’ by our energetic Year 2 Class. The songs were interspersed with Carols sung by the Year 3 class and some audience participation. Our Year 4 class with Mr Beaden chose a happy song called ‘Count on Me’ - and although not a Christmas song - it was a lovely reminder of the value of friendship and supporting one another.
The Year 6 class performed a visually impressive signing of ‘The First Noel’ using a white light and gloves to highlight the hand signals. It was a lovely evening for our school community - especially for all the proud parents seeing their children on stage. Thank you again to all those who braved the weather and supported our students’ performances.
